Honor 100 Pro 5G Is it worth buying?
If you can verify Google services work, the Honor 100 Pro 5G gives flagship performance for a gray import price.
- Choose it if
- You accept gray import risk and want flagship specs at a lower price.
- Consider alternatives if
- You need guaranteed official warranty or long term software updates.
Based on published reviews and owner reports.
What works well4
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 performance
- 6.78 inch OLED 120Hz display
- 50MP main camera with OIS
- 100W fast charging
Reported trade-offs4
- No official brand warranty
- Software updates may end soon
- Need to confirm Google services
- China version lacks Google
Why we say that
The phone runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and offers 12GB RAM with up to 1TB storage, so multitasking feels smooth. Its 6.78 inch OLED panel refreshes at 120Hz and can peak at 2600 nits, making bright outdoor use comfortable. The 50MP main sensor with OIS and 2.5x telephoto delivers detailed photos, while the 50MP selfie camera is sharp for video calls.
Battery capacity is 5000 mAh and the 100W charger refills it in minutes, but heavy gaming will still drain it within a day. Android 13 with MagicOS 7.2 provides a familiar interface, yet the software includes medium ads and bloat. Because only gray import stock exists, you must rely on shop warranty and confirm IMEI and BTRC status.

At three years old, expect only a few more OS updates before support ends.

Before you buy
Some sellers here list the China-market version (MagicOS CN (no Google)), others the global one. Check which build you are buying
Post-Huawei-split Honor global units have full Google. CN units don't (installable with friction). BD market mixes both heavily — verify GMS works before paying.
Only gray-import stock found
shop warranty instead of brand warranty; confirm IMEI/BTRC status with the seller.
3 years old — expect short or no remaining software-update life at this point.
These come from published reviews and owner reports we mined for this phone, not from our own testing, and how we read them is on our method page.
