Buying the wrong phone here costs months
For most people in Bangladesh a phone is not a gadget purchase. It is weeks of saving, and it has to last years. Yet the advice around it comes from whoever earns the biggest margin on the sale.
bKash personal number
Most people send ৳100, ৳300 or ৳1,000 — or whatever you can.
- Open the bKash app and tap Send Money.
- Paste the number above and enter any amount.
- Reference is optional — put your name if you want a thank you.
- Confirm and send.
This is a personal bKash account, not a merchant one, so use Send Money rather than Payment. Every taka goes into running the site. No receipt, no invoice, no follow-up messages — and no donor ever gets a say in how a phone is ranked.
Bhalo Phone exists to be the other thing: every price pulled from real shop listings, every ranking recomputed every day or two, nothing for sale. No sponsored slots, no shop paying to sit at the top, no affiliate deal bending the order. That independence is only possible because nobody is buying it — which is exactly why it needs a little help to stay up.
Why it matters
Three things your support actually protects.
Rankings that answer to you
The moment a shop can pay for the top slot, the list stops being advice and starts being an ad. Donations are the only funding model that does not create that pull.
A costly decision, done once
A phone bought on a shopkeeper's recommendation and regretted for two years is a real loss for a household here. Getting that call right is the entire job of this site.
Free for the people who need it most
The buyers who can least afford a mistake are the least likely to pay for advice. Nothing here sits behind a wall, so that stays true.
Where your taka actually goes
- Servers and the domain — the boxes that crawl shops overnight and serve these pages all day.
- The data crawl — every shop we track gets re-read, so the price you see is the price today, not last month.
- AI ranking calls — reading reviews and re-ranking phones is metered per call, and it is the single biggest running cost.
- Phone photos and data storage — every image is self-hosted so no page depends on a shop's server staying up.
Nothing here pays a salary. It is one person's side project, and any surplus goes straight back into covering the next month.
No money? These help just as much
Genuinely — the site grows on word of mouth, not budget.
Share a guide
Send someone who is phone-shopping straight to the budget guide for their price range. One share reaches further than one donation.
Tell us when a price is wrong
Shops change prices faster than any crawler. A message on Facebook naming the phone and the shop gets it fixed on the next data run.
Follow along
New guides and price drops get posted on Facebook. Following costs nothing and it is how most people find us.
Does donating move a phone up the list?
No. The order comes from live shop prices and what reviewers actually found, recalculated every day or two. Nobody can buy a spot — not a shop, not a brand, not you. The day that stops being true, the list is worthless to you anyway.
What if I can't spare anything?
Then don't send anything. Every guide, every price and the personal pick work exactly the same for you — nothing here is locked and nothing will be. Sending a guide to a friend who is about to buy helps just as much.
Is this a charity?
No, it is one person's project — built and paid for by Arkanullah Saad. What you send keeps the servers and the data runs going. It is not tax-deductible, and it does not buy you anything.
I sent it by mistake. Can I get it back?
Yes. Message the Facebook page with the transaction ID and it goes straight back to you. No questions.
