Honor 400 Is it worth buying?

The Honor 400 is a device with a brilliant display that is unfortunately held back by significant software frustrations and inconsistent performance.

Choose it if: You prioritize a high quality display and a sharp main camera for casual photography and do not mind managing software settings.
Consider alternatives if: You are a serious gamer or someone who relies on instant notifications for work and personal messaging.

What works well4

Industry leading display brightness and color accuracy
High resolution 200MP main camera sensor
Fast 80W charging capability
Includes convenient IR blaster

Reported trade-offs4

Major notification bugs and aggressive background app killing
Inconsistent battery endurance for the class
Plastic frame on global units
AI features locked behind a paywall

Why we say that

While the 200MP main sensor captures high-resolution images, owners frequently report major issues with notification management, where unread messages fail to appear. The aggressive background app killing further complicates daily use, as apps often stop functioning even after manual configuration. While the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset handles basic tasks, it is not built for serious gaming.

Owners also note that the global version feels less premium due to its plastic frame compared to the Chinese metal version. Battery endurance is inconsistent, and the AI image to video feature requires a paid subscription after two months. Given that the newer Honor 500 is available for ৳54,990, most buyers will find that model to be the better investment.
