Review sources ↓What works well3
- Sturdy metal rail build
- Smooth 90Hz refresh rate
- Clean user interface
Reported trade-offs4
- Slow performance and gaming stutters
- Poor low light camera quality
- Lack of software updates
- No 3.5mm headphone jack
Why we say that
While the build feels sturdy with its metal rail, the Helio G88 chipset struggles with frequent stutters and poor high end gaming. Owners report a frustrating software experience because many devices have not received updates since July 2023 and remain stuck on Android 12. The 100MP camera is mostly marketing as night shots are unusable and the ultrawide lens is weak.
You will also find the IPS display dim and difficult to see in sunlight. Battery life is modest and the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack is a notable omission for many users. It feels like a dated device that does not offer the value found in G99 powered alternatives.

Outdated 12nm G88 causes stutters; 4500mAh is small for the chip's efficiency; design is the only win. Scores are mined from published reviews and owner reports, not from our own testing.
