Infinix Hot 40 Is it worth buying?

Review sources ↓What works well4
- Large 6.78‑inch 90Hz IPS LCD
- 50MP main camera with f/1.6 lens
- 33W fast charging
- Headphone jack and FM radio
Reported trade-offs4
- Battery drops about 10% per hour
- Low brightness and occasional screen freeze
- Heavy pre‑installed apps and ads
- No clear official warranty information
Why we say that
It sports a 6.78‑inch IPS LCD with 90 Hz refresh and a peak brightness of 500 nits, which is fine for indoor use but can feel dim outdoors. The Helio G88 chipset with 8 GB RAM handles everyday apps, yet owners report lag when pulling down the notification bar in landscape and occasional freezes. The 5000 mAh battery supports 33 W charging, but real‑world tests show a drain of about 10‑11 % per hour while browsing, so you will need to charge daily.
Camera performance is decent with a 50 MP main sensor at f/1.6, though low‑light results are average. Software runs Android 13 with XOS 13.5, but it includes many pre‑installed apps and ads, and only one or two OS updates are expected for a three‑year‑old device.

Owners report
Slow performance.
I swear... my first phone.... Infinix hot3, 1gb ram, isn't this slow.
Owners report
Lagging.
The phone can't handle the notification bar when in landscape mode, because pulling it down would warrant the phone struggling to stay on and function without heavy lag 50% of the time.

What is the Infinix Hot 40 price in Bangladesh?
The last price we recorded for Infinix Hot 40 in Bangladesh was ৳15,999, checked 17 Oct 2026. No shop we track has it in stock right now.
How long will the battery last in daily use?
The 5000 mAh cell is decent, but owners report a drain of about 10‑11 % per hour while browsing Chrome, so you may get roughly nine to ten hours of heavy use and less with mixed tasks.
Can the Infinix Hot 40 handle mobile games smoothly?
The Helio G88 paired with 8 GB RAM scores a 4.0 performance rating, yet users notice lag in the notification bar and occasional freezes, so casual games run okay but demanding titles may stutter.
Is the 50MP camera good in low light?
The 50 MP sensor with f/1.6 aperture scores 4.5 out of 10 for camera, meaning photos are decent in daylight but low‑light shots lack detail and may be noisy.
Will I get official warranty and software updates?
The cheapest listing at ৳15,999 matches the official‑warranty price, but no channel is given so warranty details are unclear, and being a 2023 model now three years old, software updates are likely limited.
