Strongest on battery · 8.2/10 in published reviews and owner reports
Living with the Samsung Galaxy A04s reveals a device that struggles to keep up with modern demands.
Based on published reviews and owner reports.
Review sources ↓Owners frequently report severe UI lag and constant stutters, making the phone feel sluggish during daily tasks. While the 5000 mAh battery provides excellent endurance that can last two days for light users, the hardware is held back by the Exynos 850 chipset. This processor is inadequate for gaming or heavy multitasking, leading to a poor experience for anyone expecting speed.
The display offers a 90Hz refresh rate, but the 720p resolution and 400 nits peak brightness are disappointing. Users also note that the lack of an ambient light sensor makes brightness adjustments frustrating. The glossy plastic build has raised concerns regarding long-term durability.
While the 50MP camera captures sharp images in daylight, the absence of night mode and stabilization limits its utility. Given that this model was released in 2022, you should expect very short or no remaining software update life. Most owners agree that the performance is subpar and suggest looking at newer alternatives for better value.

The 5000 mAh battery offers excellent endurance. Many light users report that the phone can last for two days on a single charge. However, keep in mind that the charging process is slow, taking over two hours to reach full capacity with the 15W charger.
No, this phone is not suitable for gaming. The Exynos 850 chipset is inadequate for heavy tasks, and owners report severe lag and frequent slowdowns. If you intend to play games, you will likely find the performance very disappointing.
The 50MP main camera provides solid sharpness in daylight, but it lacks a dedicated night mode. Because it also lacks stabilization, you may struggle to get clear photos when the lighting is poor or when shooting in dark environments.
This phone was released in 2022 and is now four years old. You should expect very short or no remaining software update life at this point. While it currently runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1, it is nearing the end of its support cycle.
