The Google Pixel 7 is a compact, premium device that excels at photography but struggles with thermal management and network reliability.
Based on published reviews and owner reports.
Review sources ↓Living with this phone means enjoying a clean, bloat-free Android experience, yet you must be prepared for inconsistent battery life and slow charging speeds. Owners frequently report that the Tensor G2 chipset causes the device to overheat during gaming, often requiring a cooler to maintain performance. Network connectivity is a significant concern, with reports of signal failures in certain regions and rapid battery drain caused by the modem when searching for a signal.
While the camera remains best-in-class for point-and-shoot photography, the hardware is now 4 years old. You should be aware that software support is nearing its end, and the device may face thermal throttling during heavy use. It is a specialized choice for those who prioritize camera quality over gaming performance and battery endurance.

The device was released in 2022 and is upgradable to Android 16. However, because the phone is now 4 years old, you should expect short or no remaining software-update life at this point.
