The Redmi A5 is a budget device that struggles with basic usability and performance consistency.
Based on published reviews and owner reports.
Review sources ↓Owners frequently report that the system UI freezes and hangs for up to 15 seconds during daily tasks. While the 5200 mAh battery provides solid endurance, the overall experience is hampered by significant software lag and heavy bloatware. The display is large at 6.88 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate, but users describe the quality as low with washed-out colors and thick bezels.
Gaming performance is particularly poor, making it unsuitable for anything beyond the most basic applications. The absence of a physical proximity sensor is a major deal breaker for many users, and touch response in the corners of the screen is often delayed. Given that the newer Redmi A7 is available for ৳15,290, this model is difficult to recommend for anyone seeking a reliable daily driver.
