Based on published reviews and owner reports.
Review sources ↓What works well4
- Vibrant 6.7 inch Super AMOLED 90Hz display
- Solid battery endurance from 5000 mAh cell
- Excellent 6 year Android update policy
- Capable 50MP main camera in daylight
Reported trade-offs4
- Frequent system UI lag and stuttering
- Poor gaming performance and overheating
- No 3.5mm headphone jack
- Underwhelming 25W charging speed
Why we say that
Living with this phone reveals significant performance issues, as owners frequently report system UI lag, stuttering, and overheating under load. While the Super AMOLED display is vibrant, the dated waterdrop notch and thick chin bezels detract from the experience. The Helio G99 chipset struggles with gaming, and the 4GB RAM variant is widely considered insufficient for modern usage.
Although the 50MP main camera performs well in daylight, low light shots are a struggle and video quality is poor. You should be aware that this is a gray-import unit built for Vietnam, so the charger plug and box contents may differ from local standards. Given that the newer Samsung Galaxy A23 4G is available for a similar price, many buyers find this model difficult to recommend.
