Apple iPhone 12 Is it worth buying?
The iPhone 12 is a 2020 device that now faces significant limitations regarding its long-term software support and battery longevity.
- Choose it if
- You want an affordable entry into the Apple ecosystem and are comfortable managing a device without official brand warranty support.
- Consider alternatives if
- You require long-term software updates, a large battery, or the security of an official manufacturer warranty.
Based on published reviews and owner reports.
Review sources ↓What works well4
- Powerful A14 Bionic chipset
- Bright 1200 nits OLED display
- Capable 12MP main camera with OIS
- Supports 5G connectivity
Reported trade-offs4
- No manufacturer warranty in Bangladesh
- Small 2815 mAh battery capacity
- Limited remaining software update life
- Only available as gray-import stock
Why we say that
While the A14 Bionic chipset remains capable for daily tasks, the 2815 mAh battery is small by modern standards and may struggle to last through a full day of heavy use. You are purchasing a gray-import unit, which means you must rely entirely on the shop for any repair needs rather than official brand support. Because this model is 6 years old, you should expect little to no remaining software update life.
The display offers a bright 1200 nits peak brightness, but the hardware is aging compared to newer releases. Buyers must be diligent about checking the IMEI and BTRC status with the seller before handing over ৳50,999. This is a device for someone who specifically wants the Apple ecosystem on a budget but understands the risks of buying an older, unofficial import.
