Strongest on performance · 9.3/10 in published reviews and owner reports
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus offers minimal generational improvements over its predecessor, making it a difficult recommendation for those seeking value.
Based on published reviews and owner reports.
Review sources ↓While the Exynos 2600 chipset provides stable performance and gaming, owners report that the 1-5 percent performance gain over the S25+ does not justify the high cost. The 4900 mAh battery is widely considered insufficient for a 2026 flagship, leading to frequent complaints about longevity. Users are also polarized by the design, specifically criticizing the thick bezels and the camera bump.
While the software experience is polished with 7 years of updates, the overall consensus is that the S25+ and S25 Ultra remain better financial choices. If you prioritize the latest hardware, the gimbal-like OIS and Horizon Lock are the standout camera features, but most buyers will find the current pricing structure hard to swallow.

The Galaxy S26 Plus offers stellar performance and a bright display, powered by surprisingly robust new Exynos silicon and excellent software features. However, with recycled camera hardware and a price increase, it struggles to justify its high cost at launch.
Best for Android users wanting large-screen performance and AI without Ultra prices

82K views · May 2026
GSMArena highlights the surprisingly improved battery life and solid sustained CPU performance of the new Exynos chip. However, they ultimately question the phone's value proposition, noting that since the design, display technology, and cameras are virtually identical to last year's model, buyers are paying a premium for very few tangible upgrades.

Trakin Tech · Samsung Galaxy S26 & S26+ Unboxing & Quick Review ⚡ Exynos 2600 Tested! ↗
Trakin Tech views the S26 Plus as an incremental but solid update, praising the highly capable Exynos 2600 chipset which rivals top-tier competitors in raw performance. They appreciate the bright display, dependable battery, and smart new AI features, though they note it misses out on premium Ultra features like the privacy display and major camera hardware upgrades.
Tech Spurt · Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus Review | Upgrade to Ultra? ↗
Tech Spurt finds the phone perfectly fine but heavily criticizes the high price tag given the lack of meaningful hardware changes. While praising the gorgeous display and new software additions like call screening, they were disappointed by the recycled cameras struggling with moving subjects, the lack of an anti-reflective screen, and the rapid battery drain during intense gaming.
Versus · Galaxy S26 vs iPhone 17: We didn't expect that! ↗
Versus was genuinely shocked by the Exynos chipset's ability to thoroughly beat the latest iPhone in multi-core and graphical stress tests. Despite this major performance win and delivering better telephoto portraits, they advise waiting for a discount, concluding that the recycled camera lenses, lack of built-in magnets, and higher price tag make it a poor value at launch.
