Buying verdict
Expect a stunning foldable experience but compromise on speed and app compatibility.
Based on published reviews and owner reports.
Review sources ↓The 8‑inch LTPO OLED panel reaches 2500 nits and runs at 120 Hz, making content look vivid and smooth. The 5600 mAh battery holds up well and refills quickly with 66 W charging, and the 50 MP main camera delivers sharp, stabilized photos with a useful telephoto lens. Build quality feels premium and the IP58 rating protects against dust and water.
However the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset performs like a budget phone and throttles heavily when the device gets warm. Gaming suffers from the same thermal limits and frame rates drop. The lack of Google Mobile Services means many popular Bangladeshi apps need workarounds, and the software is based on Android 12, which feels dated.
At 184,999 to ৳2,45,999 the price is more in line with luxury flagships than the mid‑range hardware inside.

On 16GB/512GB the official listing costs ৳55,000 more than the same configuration imported — the BD warranty, duty and the seller margins together.

HUAWEI Mate X7 vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 | Which one gets flagship-level cameras? (opens YouTube)
1.8M views · Feb 2026
YugaTech concludes that the Mate X7 proves foldables can be practical and rugged enough for daily use without babying them. While it was unexpectedly beaten by the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in raw battery life tests, the Huawei outshines the competition by providing vastly superior water resistance, faster charging capabilities, and a true flagship-tier camera setup that makes no compromises.

HUAWEI Mate X7: MOST Durable Foldable of 2026 with Flagship Cameras?! 🤯 (opens YouTube)
1.5M views · Jan 2026
Lim Reviews highly recommends the Mate X7 as a device entirely capable of replacing a standard candy-bar style phone. The reviewer was most impressed by its 360-degree durability—allowing peace of mind against drops and water—alongside a camera system that perfectly captures accurate skin tones and detailed zoom shots in almost any environment.
ProductNation focused deeply on the camera performance, finding it exceptionally strong in portrait photography, low-light handling, and high-dynamic-range video. The reviewer was highly impressed that Huawei managed to fit such advanced optical capabilities and a large, long-lasting battery into a slim foldable format without sacrificing overall device durability.

ben's gadget reviews · Huawei Mate X7 Review: Best Foldable Hardware Again? ↗
ben's gadget reviews noted that while Huawei's marketing exaggerates how much the physical design has changed from the previous generation, the internal hardware improvements are undeniable. The upgraded hinge finally matches the sturdiness of Samsung devices, making it a great piece of hardware, though the slightly older processor and somewhat dated software interface remain minor drawbacks.
Sean Talks Tech · HUAWEI Mate X7 Durability Test + Camera Review! Best Foldable Yet? ↗
Sean Talks Tech highlights how the Mate X7 fundamentally changes the psychology of owning a foldable by removing the constant fear of breaking it. The robust inner display technology and flagship-level cameras make it feel less like a fragile novelty and more like a dependable daily driver that just happens to fold.

Get my pick →Huawei Mate X7 costs ৳1,84,999 to ৳2,45,999 in Bangladesh on unofficial listings, in stock at 5 shops we track as of 11 Sep 2026. The official price starts at ৳2,39,999.
The 5600 mAh cell gives strong endurance for a full day of typical browsing, video and calls, and the 66 W charger refills it in about an hour. Heavy multitasking or gaming will drain it faster because of throttling.
Gaming performance is limited; the Kirin 9030 Pro behaves like a mid‑range chip and heats quickly. Thermal throttling cuts frame rates, so fast‑paced titles feel laggy and long sessions become uncomfortable.
The 50 MP main sensor with a large 1/1.28″ size and f/1.5 aperture captures decent low‑light shots, and OIS helps keep them steady. The 8 MP selfie lens remains weak in dim environments.
Only units sold as official listings include the brand warranty, starting at ৳2,39,999 for the 16 GB/512 GB model. Gray‑import phones at ৳1,84,999 have no manufacturer cover and only paid repairs.
